The Quests screen is your hub for every major activity in Karadiyar. From here you can launch attacks, take on city duties, answer time-sensitive orders, hunt in the wild, follow epic storylines, or join a team for larger operations.
Rewards and fatigue
For most quests, rewards are granted the moment you start. Gold, experience, materials, skill progress, and health changes are applied right away, you do not need to wait for a timer to finish before collecting them. What does begin is your fatigue (cooldown): a rest period before you can take on another quest of that type. You can track all active timers from the Cooldowns screen on the same menu.
Think of it this way: you complete the work instantly and enjoy the spoils, then your character needs time to recover before the next outing.
Where you can quest
Many quests depend on where you are:
- Geography: Cities sit in different environments: urban city districts, open plains, deep forests, and coastal sea regions. A quest only appears if your current city's geography matches what the task requires.
- Faction: City and time quests are generally available in cities aligned with your side (good or evil). Neutral settlements allow both factions to operate.
- Specific cities: Some tasks can only be started in particular named cities on the map.
- Safe zones: Certain privileged locations are peaceful sanctuaries where combat and quests are not permitted.
Requirements
Before a quest can be started, the game checks whether you meet its conditions. These may include:
- Enough experience or character level
- Sufficient gold to cover costs
- A mount of adequate training
- A tamed dragon, where the mission demands it
- A bow for ranged operations
- Minimum hunting or other skill levels
- The correct time of day (for time-dependent quests)
If anything is missing, the quest stays locked or hidden from your available list.
Good and evil
Karadiyar is split between free peoples and dark armies. The same quest name often exists for both sides, but the flavour, targets, and wording differ. Your character's faction determines which version you see and which enemies you face.
Alliance bonus
If you belong to an alliance and perform quests in your alliance's home city, you may earn bonus experience from eligible activities. It pays to fight where your banner flies.
