City-interval quests (shown in-game as City-Internal Quests) are the everyday work of life in Karadiyar. They represent jobs, training, and errands you can perform in whatever region you currently occupy, as long as the geography and faction rules allow it.

Finding quests

Open the city quest list from the Quests menu. The game shows tasks whose geography matches your city's environment, whether you are in a bustling city, a wide plain, a dense forest, or by the sea. You must also be in a settlement friendly to your side, unless the city is neutral.

Good-side characters might train recruits, work the forges, guard the walls, mine ore in the forest, or patrol the plains. Evil-side characters receive darker orders with the same mechanical structure but different narrative tone.

Examples of city duties

City quests cover a wide range of activities, including:

  • Training and drill: Short exercises to sharpen reflexes.
  • Craft and labour: Apprenticing at forges, repairing equipment, gathering resources.
  • Patrol and defence: Standing watch, escorting caravans, counter-attacking raiders.
  • Scholarship: Studying in city libraries to broaden your knowledge.
  • Specialist work: Tasks tied to cavalry, dragons, mining, and regional defence.

Each listing shows how long you will be fatigued afterward and what you stand to gain.

Requirements

Individual city quests may demand:

  • A minimum amount of experience
  • Gold on hand for supplies or fees
  • A trained mount for travel-heavy duties
  • Sufficient hunting skill for wilderness tasks
  • A bonded dragon for the most demanding assignments

Starting a quest

When you begin a city quest, rewards are applied immediately: experience, gold, materials, skill points, and health restoration all land at once. Only your city quest fatigue timer starts counting down. Plan your route so you can chain other activities while you wait to become available again.
