Attack quests are short, decisive strikes against enemy forces in your region. If conditions favour you, the raid succeeds; if not, you may stumble and take injuries, but you always walk away with something to show for the attempt.
What you do
Depending on your faction, you target different enemies:
- Good side: Hunt Orc scouts, explore Goblin caves, or join combat training against dark units.
- Evil side: Strike at Elven patrols, Dwarven holds, or Sinraen human outposts.
Each attack style draws on a different aspect of your character's strength. The game weighs your readiness together with the hour and day before deciding how fortunate your strike will be.
How it plays out
Unlike other quest types, an attack resolves immediately when you commit. You see whether the plan succeeded, what you gained or lost, and how long you must rest before the next attempt. You need a minimum level of health to launch an attack at all.
Successful raids bring richer rewards and a longer rest. A botched plan still grants a sliver of experience but costs health, with a shorter recovery window.
Luck and the Horseshoe
Attack outcomes involve an element of luck. The Horseshoe is a permanent in-app purchase that tilts fortune in your favour during attack quests (and many other activities throughout Karadiyar). It is believed to bring luck to your character and helps things go smoothly, or perhaps more than smoothly.
You can purchase the Horseshoe from the Karadiyar Store inside the game. Open Premium from the main menu and find it among the one-time purchases.
Tips
- Watch your health before attacking, wounded fighters fare poorly.
- Check the Cooldowns screen so you know when your next strike is available.
- Successful attacks can also advance certain epic quest objectives over time.
