Hunting quests send you into the wild to fill your belly and your purse. They improve your Hunting skill and keep you in harmony with nature, a valuable edge in the fights ahead.
Where to hunt
Hunting takes place in forest geography. Leave the city walls behind and venture into the nearest woodland to see what game is available. You cannot hunt in safe sanctuaries or cities where the wilds are closed off.
Types of hunts
The hunting board offers tasks of rising difficulty:
- Small game: Quick trips after rabbits in forest clearings. A good entry point for new hunters.
- Open-field game: Duck hunts on open ground, often requiring a bow and a steady hand.
- Large game: Deer and boar hunts demand more skill but return generous gold, health, and experience.
Evil-side characters may receive darker framing, but the structure is the same: enter the forest, complete the hunt, and rest before the next expedition.
Skill and requirements
Hunting quests may ask for a minimum hunting skill level or general experience before you are allowed to join. Higher-tier hunts assume you have learned the basics on smaller prey.
Some hunting missions also require a bow for ranged kills, or a mount to reach distant hunting grounds.
Organised groups
From the Quests hub you can also throw yourself into the nearest forest for a general hunt, or join organised hunting groups alongside other adventurers. These outings train your skill while supplying gold and sustenance.
How rewards work
Start a hunt and rewards arrive immediately: gold, health, experience, and hunting skill progress. Your hunt fatigue timer then prevents back-to-back trips until you have recovered. Hunting also feeds into epic quest progress when a storyline asks you to complete specific hunts.
