Epic quests are the grand narrative of Karadiyar, the wars, miracles, heroics, and follies written into the world's history. They are not picked from a rotating board like city or time quests; they unfold as a personal storyline unique to your character.
A tale in books
Epic content is organised into books and chapters. Each quest advances a chapter of the larger saga. The story of Karadiyar is said to be hidden within the libraries of Tien and Sinraen, some pages remain secret even to the Elves.
From the Epic Quests screen you can follow your active quest, preview the next available chapter, and browse the library of lore you have unlocked.
How they differ
Epic quests play by their own rules:
- They progress through objectives rather than a single button press, visiting a city, speaking with a hero, completing a number of hunts or city duties, gathering resources, or reaching a skill threshold.
- Only one epic quest is active at a time. Finish its objectives, claim your rewards, and the next chapter becomes available.
- Objectives update as you play the rest of the game. A hunt you complete for fatigue rewards may also advance an epic goal silently in the background.
- Some goals check your current location, inventory, or stats when you interact with the epic screen.
Faction and heroes
Your good or evil alignment shapes which heroes guide your story. NPC mentors differ between sides, and certain objectives point you toward allies or enemies appropriate to your banner.
Rewards
Epic quests grant chapter rewards and sometimes book-completion prizes when you finish an entire volume of the saga. Claim them from the epic screen once every objective is marked complete. New books arrive over time, keep notifications on if you do not want to miss the next chapter.
