*Brave warriors who would rather stand with the few than with the loud may eat the Oathbloom and change their side.*

Oathbloom is a cheap, fast-growing seed (3 hours, 6 waterings, 150 gold) that anyone can plant in their garden. Its common harvest is ordinary food. Its supreme harvest is something else: it lets a warrior of the larger side cross over to the underdog side.

Who can use it

  • Karadiyar tracks which side is the underdog (the side with less combat power among recently active warriors; see Sides).
  • Only warriors on the larger side can cross. If you are already on the underdog side, or the sides are balanced, a supreme Oathbloom is just food.
  • You must not be in an alliance. Leave it first.
  • Only a supreme harvest works. A common Oathbloom only restores health.
  • Once every 5 days. If you changed race in the last 5 days, with Oathbloom or with the Race Changer, the flower will not carry you across yet.

How it works

  1. Open Inventory → Harvest Bag and press Use on a supreme Oathbloom. Instead of eating it, the game opens the Change Side screen.
  2. Confirm twice. If you have a Shield-Brother bond, you are warned a third time that it will end.
  3. The harvest is consumed and your character crosses over. You are logged out and sign back in on the new side.

What changes

  • Side: you join the underdog side.
  • Race: rolled at random among the races of your new side that can carry your current gender. A female Elf becomes a female Orc or Dark Elf; a female Orc becomes a female Human or Elf (Dwarves and Goblins are male only). Males can land on any race of the new side.
  • Gender: unchanged.
  • Stats: racial base stats are swapped for the new race, exactly as with the Race Changer.

What you keep and what you lose

  • Kept: gold, inventory, your house with everything stored in it, farming plots and growing crops, levels, skills, dragon and ships. The house is moved to the home city of your new race.
  • Lost: your Shield-Brother bond (your partner is notified), active trackers on you and by you, equipped racial traits (your story unlocks carry over to the matching traits of the new race), pending quest teams and your equipped portrait.
  • Your character is still in the city where it stood; travel home to reach your garden.

Oathbloom is the free counterpart of the Race Changer: the scroll lets you pick any race on any side, while the flower only ever carries you toward the weaker side, to whatever people fate chooses.
