The Arena is a timed duel event with attack and defense cards, live scoring, streak tracking, replays, and a short Top 16 tournament at the end of the night.
Schedule
- Wednesday and Saturday
- Starts 18:00 UTC (21:00 Turkey time)
- Soft window: 45 minutes
- Hard stop: up to 60 minutes after start if the tournament is still running
See the Karadiyar Calendar for the local start time in your timezone.
You can join from your current city while your character is alive. Travel, war status, and city type do not block entry.
Event phases
1. Qualifying (first 30 minutes)
Everyone can press Find Opponent and fight freely, just like the old Arena league.
- Wins, losses, draws, and streaks fill the event standings.
- Leaders show the Top 20. Ranks 1-16 advance if the tournament starts.
- Same matchmaking rules as before: prefer a fair rival from the opposite side, same opponent at most 3 times per event, streaks rise on wins and reset on losses (draws keep the streak).
2. Tournament (after minute 30)
At T+30 the server locks the Top 16 from the current standings and starts an automatic single-elimination bracket:
- Round of 16 → Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final
- No Find Opponent in the finals. Matches are scheduled for you.
- Seeds pair high vs low (1 vs 16, 8 vs 9, and so on).
- If fewer than 16 different fighters have standings, the tournament is cancelled, chat announces it, and no ranking rewards are paid.
- Leaving the Arena during the tournament can make you miss an automatic fight and get eliminated (empty lineup / AFK loss).
There is no 3rd-place match. 3rd place is chosen automatically from the two Semifinal losers (more bracket wins, then better seed).
How a match works
Qualifying and tournament matches use the same combat flow:
- Both fighters get up to 45 seconds to set a 3-round lineup of attack and defense cards. If both submit early, the fight starts immediately.
- Combat resolves round by round: your attack plays against the opponent's defense. Hits deal damage and score points; blocks also score.
- Each fighter starts with 100 Arena HP. Reach 0 HP and you are KO'd. If neither is KO'd, the higher score wins. Equal score and HP is a draw.
- In the tournament only, a true draw is broken in favour of the higher seed (no rematch).
After the match starts you cannot freely leave. Backing out asks you to Give Up, which counts as a loss (and tournament elimination in the finals).
In the tournament, victory screens use a short Continue countdown back to the lobby while other fights finish, then a shared break before the next round.
Power rules
Arena power is locked at matchmaking. Only your base attack and equipped items that still have durability count.
These do not transfer into Arena:
- Temporary buffs
- Dragon
- Guards
- Heroes / house combat bonuses
Item durability does not decrease in Arena fights.
Lobby tools
During and after an event you can use:
- Live matches: see who is fighting whom
- Bracket list: tournament fixtures, your match highlighted, round progress
- Replay / spectate: watch finished battles (lineups stay hidden)
- Match of the Day: chosen when the event closes from qualify and tournament fights
- Ranking / podium: qualifying leaders during the night; podium after the tournament
Event rewards
Rewards go to the tournament podium, not the old standings Top 3:
- 1st (champion): 2 Dunmir + 50 wood + 50 iron
- 2nd (finalist): 1 Dunmir + 25 wood + 25 iron
- 3rd (auto from Semifinal losers): level × 100 XP + 15 wood + 15 iron
No podium rewards if the tournament aborts (fewer than 16 fighters) or the hard time limit ends without a champion.
Tips
- Repair worn gear before Arena day so your snapshot includes full attack from equipment.
- In qualifying, do not leave the Find Opponent screen while searching.
- Fight hard in the first 30 minutes if you want a Top 16 seed.
- Stay in Arena during the tournament so automatic matches do not catch you AFK.
- Restless Spirit does not run on Arena evenings. See Restless Spirit.
