The Merchant tab is for resource exchange. Give one material, pay a gold fee, and receive the other.
How trading works
- Give wood, receive iron.
- Give iron, receive wood.
- You trade equal amounts (for example, 10 wood becomes 10 iron).
Costs
- Standard fee: 3 gold per unit traded.
- Discounted fee: 2 gold per unit when your race rules the current city.
Example: trading 20 iron for 20 wood in your homeland city costs 40 gold instead of 60.
Limits and cooldown
- Each trade can move 1 to 50 units at a time.
- After a successful trade, you must wait about one minute before trading again.
- You need enough gold and enough of the resource you are giving away.
Why use the Merchant
- Rebalance materials before Smithing upgrades.
- Convert excess wood or iron instead of listing small stacks on the Auction Hall.
- Gold spent here also counts toward the Daily Bests gold leaderboard.
Tips
- Trade in race-aligned cities whenever possible for the cheaper rate.
- Merchant trades are blocked in enemy territory, same as the other market tabs.
- For large sales to other players, the Auction Hall is usually better.
